Behke Behke

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I hope we all ate with moderation, or as my friend Dennis would say, “Temperance brother, temperance…”

I’ve been thinking a lot and I’ve come to some conclusions.

1] Love is an interesting concept. Often times we think of people as deserving love or earning love. Funny enough, love is not about merit. That is exactly what true love is. It is something that is not necessarily deserved at all.

Romans 5:8 “8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Christ died for us and we don’t deserve it. It is like that in life. We can love others even when they don’t deserve it. It is difficult; it is unnatural; it is divine.

2]  I stand by this belief:

“When a man sees something good, he goes after it.”

3] We lost the football game this weekend. Uf v. FSU. The only points we scored were in the last 10 min. of the game in the 4th quarter. I am still so unbelievably proud of those players. I think when you meet these young men and realize how much it means to them, even if its not your thing- you begin to care.

4] Is it time to read my David Copperfield again? A waste of time? What? Maybe. I am not sure if I will… maybe I’ll just read my favorite parts.

Maybe it’ll help me come out of this diabetic situation after Thanksgiving (kidding).

5] What must we do for the things we so desire? Will they always stay as some platonic wish waiting to be fulfilled? Not necessarily…

Mark 9:23

23Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

All things…

“24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

6] And now for AISHA the movie that I picked up becuase I thought it would make me relive being 13. It did. I loved it, even though at one point I thought it was a bit cheesy. At the end I was left content. It is a bright film that shows different aspects of life and love. It shows the shallowness that can arise in femal friendships, manipulation and also good intentions. It shows how sometimes something is in front of us and we never realized it is what we always wanted.

And now, for the best song in the entire movie:

Behke Behke… the dancing is incredible and it was an awesome scene. it is a Hindi, Tango, Flamenco, Quebradita mix…. latin meets hindi-love it.

Enjoy! And have an awesome and bright day.
