This weekend God continued His campaign for me to have more faith. The sermon was probably written for me. It was based on  Isaiah 43:13 that says:

“Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who can hinder it?”

I will work, who can hinder it? hmm… key word being hinder. The pastor (Emeritus) spoke about the Israelites and how God promised them the land. He spoke of Moses, who even after he messed up Jesus himself came to take him out of his grave. Even Moses’ mistake did not mess up God’s plan for Israel. Nothing can stop the hand of God of doing what it pleases. He mentioned Balaam and how he could not curse what God had blessed (His people).

I’ve been thinking a lot, and I see how no matter what I do (though choice affects and we must be careful to be in God’s will and plan through obedience), God has something for me. For all of us really. God has a work to be done, and who can hinder it?

I thought of how the Israelites’ lack of faith landed them wandering the desert for 40 more years. God, help my unbelief. I don’t want to wander this desert anymore- You have a work to be done, and it’s comforting to know that nothing can hinder that.

God has a plan. Serve God. Obey God. Walk uprightly in His sight. He has a plan, and it will be done. Our job is to simply believe it will be done.

Did you see giants in the land? Do you thirst? He will fight for you and deliver it into your hand. He will supply your every need. Nothing can hinder Him.
