I can never be lost from you

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:9-10

We can never be lost from God, instead, He is always there, giving us His goodness as fast as we are able to receive it.

Hi Everyone!
This week, I want the focus to be on seeing God’s faithfulness through it all. Some times, we have uncertainty. We don’t always know what is going to happen in life, but in the end, because of God’s faithfulness, we can have an inner peace and know that all will work out in the end for us.

An interesting thought–valid, I would say.

8]
I have realized that people who don’t have God lack peace to a crazy level. It leads people to desperation and self-destruction. A sad choice much of the young, desperate generation opts for.

11] Nothing in life is perfect, life is not a paradise–but you keep moving forward. Nothing stops you. With God, you are overriding the obstacles. Be calm, despite the crazy mistakes in life, things will work out for the best.

Your heart’s desire

For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

Psalm 18:28

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble;
You will prepare their heart;
You will cause Your ear to hear,

Psalm 10:17

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 9:10

Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,

Psalm 17:8

As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Psalm 18:30

You have given him his heart’s desire,
And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

Psalm 21:2

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Psalm 27:14

Modigliani

Script: Made of Honor

Tom: Modigliani.

Your first summer
in New York City,

you were dating a guy
who worked on Wall Street

and he asked you
to move in with him.

And you weren’t quite sure.

Anyway, that was around
the time you discovered Modigliani

and became obsessed
with his painting

of this woman who had
a blue scarf on, holding a baby.

And Hannah said “That painting
captured the essence of that woman

better than any photograph.”
Hannah:- I can’t believe you came to remember that.

Tom: I also remember that she freaked
because she said she felt

more passionate about that painting
than she did about Mr…. Wall Street.

And she wondered if she ever
could meet somebody

that could make her feel
as passionate as that work of art.

Never been hurt

But even if I lose it all, I got so much left to give; I won’t give up, no. My heart is on the front line, I’m not afraid.
I will love you, like I’ve never been hurt. Run through fire for you, like I’ve never been burned. I’m gonna risk it all, like I’ve never lost. Gonna give it all I’ve got. I will love you; I will love, like I’ve never been hurt. Never been hurt.
You set fire to ashes, you fought through the darkness, and brought me back to life. You brought me back to life.

Condolences: Stephen Colbert and Demi Lovato

By: Gabriela Yareliz

Condolences go to Stephen Colbert because he lost his mother this past week, and to Demi Lovato, whose father just passed away. May they find the peace that only God gives and that the world cannot take away.

Stephen Colbert:

Lorna Colbert

It is so beautiful to hear the wonderful memories he has of his mother and their deep love toward one another. I loved his tribute to his mother on the show. It was probably the first time I saw my favorite comedian talking about things that were no laughing matter. This had no funny angle to it, but I saw him strengthened by his mother’s faith. He made sure we all knew–the show must go on.

Demi Lovato: I admire her strength as she deals with her estranged father’s death. A father who did not speak to her since 2007. Stay strong Demi. She is an artist whose pain from the relationship with her father has translated into her music and art. She is one of my favorite artists, and may God give her the strength to find more healing and remain unbroken.

Baby I just ran out of band-aids,
I don’t even know where to start;
‘Cause you can bandage the damage
You never really can fix a heart-Demi L.
