Non guardarmi così

By: Gabriela Yareliz

Ciao my friends!
Sometimes, there are things that make you feel slightly uncomfortable, maybe insecure and a little lost. Oh, the liberty when you set it aside and decide it no longer has your energy and focus!

Let go of whatever brings you down or makes you lost, whether it be a thought, a person, a dynamic or a situation.

I am trying to learn:

Never forget what you are capable of doing and what is worth having. Never forget your worth.

Never stop dreaming, and don’t forget your dreams of the past.

Beyond Knowledge

By: Ellen G. White

Wait upon the Lord in faith. The Lord draws out the soul in prayer, and gives us to feel His precious love. We have a nearness to Him, and can hold sweet communion with Him. We obtain distinct views of His tenderness and compassion, and our hearts are broken and melted with contemplation of the love that is given to us. We feel indeed an abiding Christ in the soul…. Our peace is like a river, wave after wave of glory rolls into the heart, and indeed we sup with Jesus and He with us. We have a realizing sense of the love of God, and we rest in His love. No language can describe it, it is beyond knowledge. {Hvn 176.1}

It

By: Gabriela Yareliz

I read that the origin of the concept of people being ‘it,’ came from this:

“It isn’t beauty, so to speak, nor good talk necessarily. It’s just ‘It’.” Mrs. Bathurst, Rudyard Kipling

Be your own ‘it’ girl or ‘it’ man. Be original, appealing, lovely, humble, and have that extra ingredient no one can explain or teach.
Own it. Share it.
Be it. Be you.

Autumn Thoughts

Below are some picks from http://autumnindie.tumblr.com. A very quotable blog.

“She asked, ‘You are in love, what does love look like?’ To which I replied, ‘Like everything I’ve ever lost came back to me.’” Nayyirah Waheed

“Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.” Andrew Boyd

“Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times. Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute – even when the waters get deep, and dark.” (via rainydaysandblankets)

“The whole world is a series of miracles, but we’re so used to them we call them ordinary things.” Hans Christian Andersen

“‘If the girl had been worth having she’d have waited for you.’ No, sir, the girl really worth having won’t wait for anybody.” F. Scott Fitzgerald, This Side of Paradise (via simply-quotes)

Memory’s Hall

By: Ellen G. White

God is not pleased to have His people hanging dark and painful pictures in memory’s hall. He would have every soul plucking the roses and the lilies and the pinks, hanging memory’s hall with the precious promises of God blooming all over the garden of God. He would have us dwelling upon them, our senses sharp and clear, taking them in their full richness, talking of the joy that is set before us. He would have us living in the world, yet not of it, our affections taking hold of eternal things. He would have us talking of the things which He has prepared for those that love Him. This will attract our minds, awaken our hopes and expectations, and strengthen our souls to endure the conflicts and trials of this life. As we dwell on these scenes the Lord will encourage our faith and confidence. He will draw aside the veil and give us glimpses of the saints’ inheritance.—Ms 24, 1888 quoted in Selected Messages 3:163, 164. – {Hvn 174.3}
