What a week. Scott Lobaido flatlined and got brought back to life. He is still being iconic from his hospital bed.
The humidity reached new levels. The NY Post called it “Caribbean” levels of humidity. Whatever it is— we feel it. I sweat so much this week. Yesterday, my jeans left my legs blue. (Why is clothes always melting onto me??)
I am not going to lie— it takes everything not to wish away summer and pray for falling leaves and crisp dark mornings.
Hilary Duff was at MSG— jamming. This week’s song is a song I loved from Jr High, in honor of Duff’s NYC tour visit.
Tracy Anderson’s interview with L’Beauté MX was great and insightful.
Most people are talking about Nikki Garcia’s return to the ring— but can we talk about Brie’s glow up and return? She is looking better than EVER.

I have five workouts left to meet by goal for the Ladder RELOAD program. So by the end of the six weeks, I will have surpassed the threshold. excited for that. Planning on looking fire like Brie by late October and November. We are in the ‘trust the process’ stage.
I started deep seasonal cleaning. Today, I did the makeup and body/hair product shelves and supplements. I took down four bags of recycling. Small steps. New soap on the soap dish— who dis?
It’s been 23 years of The OC. It’s funny because I watched it more recently in life, but their magazine covers had me in a chokehold until Kristin Cavallari took over. *Cue the Laguna Beach intro* I miss you, Seventeen Magazine.

If I see something on Lion’s Gate energy, I am throwing my phone into the bay. Who coordinated this astrology spam on the internet and podcast sphere? Geez. And then there is that guy who said we will lose gravity on August 12. (NASA literally came out to refute this). What is this world we live in? I guess I do live for the weirdness. (Toxic trait). It did make me wonder— what would happen if we lost gravity?
Palate cleanse…

Here is the stuff that caught my attention this week:

“You shouldn’t let those assholes have your joy.” Jeff Tweedy

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Maya Angelou

“I think nostalgia might be the strongest emotion there is.” Paige Paul

“You have to quiet that voice that’s inevitably going to tell you to stop.
That is a bitch ass part of your brain.
And you have to tell it to be quiet because you’re capable of more.” Kelly Matthews

“The addiction to victimhood is so strong, it’s a new religion that’ll be required in NYC public schools any day now.” Taylor Ferber

“Your kids are not the sacrifice. They are the life.” Danielle Shugg
